COASTAL ENGINEERING

WELCOME TO THE CEAR01/A RESEARCH GROUP PAGE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MESSINA

Wave flume (Hydraulics Laboratory)

The group

The group, composed of professors, researchers, and doctoral students, carries out research in various fields of hydraulic engineering, using numerical and experimental modeling approaches integrated with applications and field observations.

The research activities are primarily focused on processes related to marine hydrodynamics. Key areas of study include wave motion forecasting using innovative approaches, the development and analysis of wave energy devices, the study of sediment transport, as well as the transport and dispersion of pollutants in coastal and marine environments.
