PIERLUIGI DELL'ACQUA

Pierluigi DELL’ACQUA is a PhD student in Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Messina. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering and a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the same university in 2009 and 2012, respectively.

After more than ten years of experience in software engineering and application management, he currently conducts research in the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences at the University of Messina.

He is mainly involved in the Horizon Europe NEUROKIT2E project, supporting research into neural computations for low-energy, low-computational-capacity devices through model compression mechanisms (i.e., quantization, pruning).
