Welcome to the website of the research group
We are a research group working at the University of Messina (Italy) in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to develop advanced solutions based on distributed intelligent systems.
Our goal is to design and implement new edge-cloud intelligence architectures and frameworks:
- Intelligent solutions for low-power devices with limited computational capabilities.
- Predictive maintenance of edge and cloud device computing resources.
We operate nationally and internationally through research projects, with results published in prestigious journals and conferences.
Our work environment aims to be inclusive and supportive. We support the group through social gatherings and team-building activities.
Our vision
Our research vision is to promote research in the context of distributed intelligent systems supporting cities and communities, with a particular focus on the optimization of decentralized and self-organizing systems. Our research has applications in various fields, including smart cities, mobility, healthcare, cultural heritage, and natural disaster management.
