Mark Adrian GAMBITO<\/b> is a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence for Society based at the University of Pisa and working at the University of Messina.<\/p>\n

He obtained his master’s degree in Engineering and Computer Science (L-8) in 2023 at the University of Messina.<\/p>\n

Since 2025, he has been a visiting PhD student at Western Sydney University, Australia. <\/p>


<\/p>\n

From 2021 to 2022, he was a scholarship holder for the project \u201cRifunzionalizzazione del Contemporaneo\u201d (Re-functionalization of the Contemporary), with the task of analyzing, designing, and implementing an Augmented Reality-based system that interacts with the environment through the use of edge technology, with the aim of optimizing and improving the sensory experience of users in museum\/cultural contexts.<\/p>\n


<\/p>

He was a research fellow from 2022 to 2023 for the \u201cInstradaMe\u201d project, with the task of analyzing, designing, and implementing a Virtual Reality driving system aimed at raising awareness and preventing road accidents.<\/p>\n


<\/p>

His current research agenda focuses primarily on Hierarchical Federated Learning techniques, a Machine Learning approach distributed across different infrastructure levels in the context of natural disaster management.
