THE CONFERENCE

The final conference of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project “Ethnic And Gender Labor Experimental Studies (EAGLES) over discrimination” brings together scholars, practitioners and policy-makers to discuss ethnic and gender discrimination in the labour market from an evidence-based perspective.

The event, hosted by the Department of Economics of the University of Messina from 22 to 24 January 2026, will present the main findings of EAGLES, which combines experimental and survey data, qualitative analyses and systematic reviews of the literature to analyse how origin, gender and other social characteristics shape access to job opportunities.

By linking rigorous empirical results with real-world experiences, the conference aims to foster dialogue between research and policy, highlight critical challenges for equal treatment in work and employment, and outline concrete recommendations for more inclusive labour market policies and practices.

For more information about the EAGLES project, please visit the official project website: https://portale2.unime.it/eagles/

The conference is open to students, researchers, institutions and stakeholders interested in discrimination, welfare and labour market inclusion.
