Abstract\u00a0<\/strong>
\nThe Internet and digital technologies are transforming our\u00a0world, but existing barriers, mainly due to obsolete Information\u00a0Technologies (IT), lead citizens to miss out on goods\u00a0and services, enterprises and start-ups to limit their horizons,\u00a0and businesses and governments to cannot fully benefit from digital tools. Recently, Cloud computing emerged\u00a0as hot topic in IT, both in industrial and academic area, in\u00a0order to overcame the above barriers. Its use in large scale\u00a0distributed infrastructure, platform or software services is\u00a0motivated by the possibility to promote a new economy of\u00a0scale in different contexts. Such scenario demands timely,\u00a0repeatable, and controllable methodologies for evaluation\u00a0of algorithms, applications and policies before the development\u00a0of Cloud services or products, especially to achieve a\u00a0good compromise between several performance indicators.\u00a0To this end, simulations-based environments allow to\u00a0evaluate the hypothesis prior to the software development,\u00a0thus reducing the risk of economic losses, scarce Quality of\u00a0Service or Quality of Experience. In this paper we present\u00a0and discuss a simulation-based approach for Cloud Brokerage ecosystems. More specically, we propose the\u00a0J2CBROKER Simulation Tool, mainly based on Java and\u00a0JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) technologies. Its architecture,\u00a0functionalities and technological choices are discussed\u00a0and motivated. Moreover, we present a case of study\u00a0to evaluate the goodness of the proposed approach.<\/p>\n
