ore 9:00 alle ore 16:30 presso l\u2019Accademia dei Pericolanti a Palazzo Universit\u00e0 - Piazza S. L&#8217;interazione della luce con questi sistemi apre la strada a progressi in una miriade di campi, che vanno dal calcolo quantistico e celle solari ultra-efficienti a nuove tecniche di imaging medico e dispositivi elettronici di nuova generazione.<\/span><br style=\"max-width: var(--global--spacing-measure)\" \/><br style=\"max-width: var(--global--spacing-measure)\" \/><span style=\"max-width: var(--global--spacing-measure)\">Le presentazioni proposte tenderanno a descrivere le complesse interazioni presenti nei sistemi a bassa dimensionalit\u00e0 in modo accessibile, ma allo stesso tempo informativo e up-to-date. Gli speakers saranno rappresentativi sia del mondo della ricerca che dello sviluppo ed applicazione commerciale, in modo da raccontare il percorso della ricerca dal laboratorio agli scenari del mondo reale.<\/span><br style=\"max-width: var(--global--spacing-measure)\" \/><br style=\"max-width: var(--global--spacing-measure)\" \/><span style=\"max-width: var(--global--spacing-measure)\">E\u2019 prevista una sessione poster in cui, chi lo desidera, pu\u00f2 presentare la propria attivit\u00e0 di ricerca e\/o un saggio scientifico legato alla tematica della luce ed agli argomenti del workshop. In questo contesto, il grafene e i relativi materiali bidimensionali (2D) (GRM) stanno emergendo come candidati promettenti per guidare l&#8217;innovazione nelle tecnologie fotovoltaiche.[1] Le propriet\u00e0 meccaniche, termiche ed optoelettroniche dei GRM possono essere sfruttate in diversi componenti attivi di celle solari per progettare dispositivi di prossima generazione,[1],[2] compresi i sistemi fotoelettrochimici.[3] Questi componenti includono elettrodi conduttivi anteriori (trasparenti) e posteriori, strati di trasporto di carica e strati di interconnessione\/ricombinazione, nonch\u00e9 strati fotoattivi. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca. dal Politecnico di Milano, mentre lavorava all&#8217;Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Qui, ha studiato le interfacce solido\/liquido nei transistor organici a effetto di campo con cancello ad acqua dei semiconduttori organici, nelle cellule fotoelettrochimiche ibride organico-inorganico e nei dispositivi basati su biopolimeri per la stimolazione cellulare ottica. Ha partecipato al progetto Future and Emerging Technology Graphene Flagship della Commissione Europea, dove \u00e8 stato vice leader del progetto di punta della fattoria solare (perovskite). Tra questi materiali spicca il silicio grazie alla sua abbondanza ed uso nel settore microelettronico ed in particolare, i nanofili di silicio (Si NW) rappresentano una risorsa estremamente promettente per i moderni dispositivi, nonostante la complessit\u00e0 della loro produzione.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;color: var( --e-global-color-text );font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );background-color: var(--global--color-background)\">Utilizzando un approccio a basso costo e compatibile con la tecnologia attuale del silicio, \u00e8 stato ottimizzato un metodo innovativo per la produzione di array verticali nanofili di silicio con dimensioni controllabili con i parametri di crescita. La sintesi dei nanofili di silicio \u00e8 stata ingegnerizzata per il design di strutture frattali random in 2D, utilizzando uno layer d&#8217;oro frattale al limite di percolazione [1]. Questo approccio ci ha permesso di controllare le propriet\u00e0 ottiche del sistema, ottimizzando diverse geometrie frattali. Le nostre osservazioni hanno rivelato una forte diffusione multipla nel piano e un efficace intrappolamento della luce, legati alla struttura frattale, con notevoli implicazioni per la fotonica e il fotovoltaico [2].<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;color: var( --e-global-color-text );font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );background-color: var(--global--color-background)\">Inoltre, i nanofili di silicio prodotti con questa tecnica presentano una intensa luminescenza visibile a temperatura ambiente sotto stimolazione ottica ed elettrica, con la prospettiva di variarne l\u2019emissione in correlazione al diametro dei nanofili grazie al confinamento quantico.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;color: var( --e-global-color-text );font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );background-color: var(--global--color-background)\">Abbiamo inoltre sviluppato biosensori ottici innovativi label free a nanofili di silicio, sfruttando il fenomeno del quenching della luminescenza a seguito della cattura selettiva di specifiche proteine o genomi. Un esempio \u00e8 il sensore selettivo a basso costo per la proteina C-reattiva (CRP), il principale biomarcatore dell&#8217;insufficienza cardiaca, che offre una sensibilit\u00e0 elevata a concentrazioni molto basse, consentendo analisi non invasive sulla saliva [3].<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text );font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );background-color: var(--global--color-background);font-size: 16px\">Modificando il protocollo di funzionalizzazione, abbiamo adattato questi biosensori per il rilevamento selettivo per un ampio ventaglio di agenti patogeni, come i virus dell&#8217;epatite B [4] ed il SARS-CoV-2, incluso lo screening delle sue varianti [5]. Dal 1994 \u00e8 con il Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) e dal 2007 \u00e8 dirigente di ricerca del CNR. Ha trascorso vari periodi come visting scientist presso la Cornell University, IBM Research ed STMicroelectronics. Egli lavora nel campo dei dispositivi a semiconduttore e dei materiali per l\u2019elettronica. Il Dott. Lombardo \u00e8 adesso il responsabile del laboratorio di fotonica della Facility Beyond-Nano del CNR-IMM e del progetto CNR facente parte del programma dei \u201cprogetti importanti di comune interesse europeo\u201d (IPCEI) della Commissione Europea sulla microelettronica. Si tratta di un nuovo regime di interazione luce-materia, oltre l\u2019accoppiamento debole e forte, in cui la forza di accoppiamento diventa paragonabile alle frequenze di transizione nel sistema. Il raggiungimento dell\u2019accoppiamento debole e forte ha portato a un maggiore controllo dei sistemi quantistici e ad applicazioni come i laser a bassa corrente di soglia, la metrologia quantistica e l\u2019elaborazione delle informazioni quantistiche. Descriver\u00f2 la teoria dei sistemi quantistici con accoppiamento ultraforte e alcuni processi fisici che questo regime rende possibile. Inoltre mostrer\u00f2 diverse configurazioni sperimentali, inclusi i polaritoni nei semiconduttori a bassa dimensione, i circuiti quantistici superconduttori e le molecole organiche, che ora hanno raggiunto l&#8217;accoppiamento ultraforte. Come dispositivi fotovoltaici avanzati, le DSSC sono note per la loro produzione a basso costo, il design semi-trasparente e l&#8217;assorbimento della luce che dipende dalla struttura del colorante. Gli sforzi recenti si sono concentrati sull&#8217;ampliamento delle applicazioni delle DSSC per creare moduli e pannelli per soluzioni solari integrate. Le DSSC hanno anche un ampio ventaglio di utilizzi, inclusa l&#8217;esplorazione spaziale, dispositivi IoT e altro ancora. Per promuovere un futuro pi\u00f9 sostenibile, \u00e8 essenziale ottimizzare le DSSC per l&#8217;uso sia interno che esterno, utilizzando materiali ecocompatibili e fonti di energia pulite.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Questa presentazione mostrer\u00e0 notevoli progressi nelle DSSC, dai miglioramenti delle singole celle fino alle applicazioni su larga scala. Il nostro focus sar\u00e0 sulle diverse applicazioni delle DSSC, inclusa l&#8217;integrazione in dispositivi portatili, edifici e sensori, cos\u00ec come lo sviluppo di materiali innovativi, processi e tecnologie per la produzione di idrogeno. Questi avanzamenti mirano a migliorare l&#8217;affidabilit\u00e0, l&#8217;efficienza, la flessibilit\u00e0 e la resilienza del sistema energetico nazionale in conformit\u00e0 con le linee d&#8217;azione della comunit\u00e0 europea (Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza, PNRR).<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><hr \/><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Donatella Spadaro si \u00e8 laureata in Chimica presso l&#8217;Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Messina dove ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Chimica e Ingegneria dei Materiali. Ha lavorato come ricercatrice industriale presso ANM Research srl, con compito di sintesi e caratterizzazione di materiali nanostrutturati applicati nel settore delle biotecnologie. Successivamente \u00e8 entrata a far parte del NanosoftLab dell&#8217;IPCF-CNR di Messina e dell&#8217;IMM-CNR di Catania come assegnista di ricerca post-doc. Dal febbraio 2022 \u00e8 ricercatrice a tempo indeterminato presso l&#8217;IPCF. Si \u00e8 unita al Gruppo SOLARE, e la sua attivit\u00e0 di ricerca \u00e8 focalizzata nel campo del fotovoltaico di terza generazione, della fotochimica, dei processi di trasferimento di energia ed elettroni, della conversione dell&#8217;energia solare e delle nanoparticelle. Lavora alla produzione e alla caratterizzazione di celle solari sensibilizzate con coloranti naturali e allo sviluppo di nuovi materiali nanostrutturati per applicazioni DSSC. \u00c8 coinvolta in diversi progetti in cui si occupa di sintesi e caratterizzazione spettroscopica di materiali nanostrutturati per applicazioni ambientali e beni
