On September 13th, 2024, Professor Domenico Nicolò from the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria attended the Management Control Journal Workshop, part of the 2024 National Conference of the Italian Society of Accounting and Business Economics Professors (SIDREA), entitled “Sustainable Development, Artificial Intelligence, and Human Capital: Perspectives and Challenges for Business Economics and the Accounting Profession”, held at the Università Politecnica delle Marche. During the event, he presented the latest developments of the paper “Mutual Spatial Proximity, Organized Crime, and Profitability of High-Growth Startups”, conducted in collaboration with Professor Carlo Migliardo from the University of Messina.
