Final Conference PRIN 2022 PNRR “The Effect of Organized Crime on Firm Technical Efficiency and R&D Investments”

On February 26th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the Department of Economics at the University of Messina will host the Final Conference of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project, “The Effect of Organized Crime on Firm Technical Efficiency and R&D Investments”.

The event will take place in Aula Magna 2 of the Department of Economics and will open with greetings from the provincial heads of the law enforcement agencies (State Police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, and the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate).

This will be followed by three scientific sessions organized by the research groups of the University of Messina, the “Mediterranea” University of Reggio Calabria, and the “Dante Alighieri” University of Reggio Calabria. In the afternoon, a roundtable discussion will take place, actively involving civil society and trade associations (Confindustria, ANCE, Libera, and the Padre Pino Puglisi Anti-Usury Foundation).
