On September 13th, 2024, Professor Domenico Nicol\u00f2 from the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria attended the Management Control Journal Workshop<\/em>, part of the 2024 National Conference of the Italian Society of Accounting and Business Economics Professors (SIDREA), entitled \u201cSustainable Development, Artificial Intelligence, and Human Capital: Perspectives and Challenges for Business Economics and the Accounting Profession\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, held at the Universit\u00e0 Politecnica delle Marche. During the event, he presented the latest developments of the paper “Mutual Spatial Proximity, Organized Crime, and Profitability of High-Growth Startups”, conducted in collaboration with Professor Carlo Migliardo from the University of Messina.<\/p>\n
