Tranchida, Associato in Chimica degli Alimenti presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Biologiche, Farmaceutiche ed Ambientali, ha ricevuto il premio \u201cGC\u00d7GC Lifetime Achievement Award\u201d durante il congresso \u201c43<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography &amp; the 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0GC\u00d7GC Symposium\u201d tenutosi recentemente a Fort Worth (Texas, USA), dal 12 al 17 maggio. Questo premio viene assegnato annualmente a scienziati di riconosciuta esperienza nel campo della gascromatografia multidimensionale \u201ccomprehensive\u201d (GC\u00d7GC), che hanno effettuato ricerche pionieristiche in questo ramo della chimica analitica strumentale. Il Prof. Tranchida, inoltre, \u00e8 stato il primo in assoluto a ricevere sia il \u201cGC\u00d7GC Lifetime Achievement Award\u201d, sia il \u201cJohn Phillips Award\u201d, quest\u2019ultimo ricevuto nel 2012 (al congresso \u201c36<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography &amp; the 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0GC\u00d7GC Symposium\u201d). Il \u201cJohn Phillips Award\u201d, intitolato in onore dell\u2019inventore della gascromatografia multidimensionale \u201ccomprehensive\u201d, viene assegnato annualmente a ricercatori emergenti che hanno ottenuto risultati di eccellenza nel campo delle analisi GC\u00d7GC. La gascromatografia multidimensionale \u201ccomprehensive\u201d viene considerata attualmente la tecnica analitica pi\u00f9 potente per l\u2019analisi qualitativa e quantitativa di composti volatili contenuti in campioni complessi.\u00a0<br \/>Il Prof. Tranchida lavora nel gruppo di ricerca del Prof. Luigi Mondello dal 2002, anno in cui ha cominciato a frequentare il Corso di Dottorato in Chimica e Sicurezza degli Alimenti. This recognition is awarded annually to scientists of recognized experience in the field of GC \u00d7 GC, who have carried out pioneering research in this branch of instrumental analytical chemistry. Already in 2012 prof. Tranchida received the \"John Phillips\" award, dedicated to the inventor of multidimensional gas chromatography, currently considered the most powerful analytical technique for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of volatile compounds in complex samples. Professor Tranchida works in the research group of prof. Luigi Mondello since 2002, year in which he began to attend the PhD course in Chemistry and Food Safety.
