Dal 2013 la prestigiosa rivista scientifica indipendente, con una tiratura di 57.000 copie cartacee e oltre 70.000 copie digitali al mese, riunisce ogni anno una giuria di qualificati esperti per selezionare gli studiosi che, con le loro ricerche nei vari settori scientifici, hanno sostanzialmente contribuito al benessere dell&#8217; umanit\u00e0. Luigi Mondello, professore ordinario di Chimica Analitica presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Biologiche, Farmaceutiche e Ambientali dell&#8217;Universit\u00e0 di Messina, \u00e8 l&#8217;unico italiano in classifica, insieme a tre europei (Belgio e Olanda) e sei americani. La commissione ha riconosciuto allo studioso messinese il suo contributo pionieristico allo sviluppo di tecniche multidimensionali per l&#8217;identificazione di molecole sconosciute.
