Dr. Sciarrone has always been dedicated to the analysis of complex food samples using capillary chromatographic techniques, and his research has been focused on the development of multidimensional analytical techniques. Leslie Ettre is\u00a0considered one of the fathers of capillary gas chromatography and every year, since\u00a02008, the prize named after him has been awarded to a young researcher\u00a0who has presented the best contribution regarding environmental and\u00a0food analysis, by means of capillary gas chromatography techniques.
