The Workshop on Sensors and Smart Cities has been an integral part of all previous editions of the SmartComp conference, taking place in various locations worldwide, including Hong Kong, Saint Louis, Taormina, Washington D.C., Bologna (online), Irvine (online), Aalto, Nashville, and Osaka.

Throughout these editions, the workshop consistently attracted a satisfactory number of attendees, averaging 20+ participants per session. The discussions following each paper presentation and at the end of the technical sessions reflected the strong engagement and appreciation of the presented topics.

On average, the workshop received 12 paper submissions per edition, with 10 papers accepted for presentation. These contributions have fostered insightful discussions on the role of sensors and IoT technologies in the evolution of smart cities, reinforcing the workshop’s relevance within the SmartComp community.
