Submission of ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTIONS

Original Contributions

Information for authors of original contributions

Please read carefully (especially the parts in red ink):

  • Original Contributions (OC) are original works with mostly new content (theory, results) that has not been published before. Extended abstracts submitted as original contributions will be subject to blind peer review. Because of the need for a rigorous review and, possibly, a revision round, a strict timeline is going to be enforced.  (For the page dedicated to scientific reports, please click here).
  • Preferred presentation mode. Both oral and poster presentations are encouraged. When submitting the extended abstract the authors can indicate the preferred mode of presentation, if any.
  • Extended abstract preparation.  You need to follow the indication of the publisher thoroughly. Please refer to the Instructions for Authors in the page dedicated by Springer to conference proceedings. You MUST prepare your abstract using the templates that can be downloaded from this page. You can download the Word template directly from here, and the LaTeX2e package from here. The Extended abstract length must be 4 pages in one of the two mandatory formats (Word or LaTeX2e).
  • Final manuscript preparation for accepted abstracts.  Authors whose abstract will be accepted for presentation at the conference need to prepare a final manuscript in accordance with the indications received from the reviewers. The final manuscript will be reviewed and the authors will be asked for changes if necessary.  The final manuscript must be formatted in accordance with the templates already used for the extended abstract. The publisher requires a minimum length of 6 pages for the final manuscript to be  properly indexed in bibliographic data bases.  This means that final manuscripts shorter than 6 pages will not be acceptable.
  • For the submission of an extended abstract you need a Microsoft CMT account. We employ the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT) for managing the submission of the extended abstracts, the revision process and the collection of the final version of the accepted manuscripts. If you do not have a Microsoft CMT account, you need to create one. Please goto the Microsoft CMT User Login page to create an account.
  • Once you perform the login into your Microsoft CMT account, search for the conference in the appropriate search box or go directly to: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/upon2026
  • We will try to prepare a step by step guide that will be available from this page. Meanwhile, you can receive dedicated assistance by e-mail by writing to:  upon26@unime.it .

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
