Submission of Scientific Reports
Scientific Reports
Information for authors of Scientific Reports
Please read carefully (especially the parts in red ink):
- Scientific Reports (SC) are works dealing with material that is not necessarily original or, if original, not yet mature enough for official publication. Scientific reports will not be subject to official publication although they will be collected and made available at the conference. Acceptance of scientific reports is subject to evaluation by the UPoN committes. (For the page dedicated to original contributions reports, please click here).
- Preferred presentation mode. Both oral and poster presentations are encouraged. When submitting the extended abstract, the authors can indicate the preferred mode of presentation, if any.
- Extended abstract preparation. The same template used for original contributions is expected to be used for the preparation of extended abstracts concerning scientific reports. You can download the Word template from here, and the LaTeX2e package from here. Please ignore any reference to the publisher in the templates: Scientific Reports will not be subject to peer review and will not be published, in accordance with the nature of these works. Resorting to the templates linked above is a matter of convenience. Extended abstracts for Scientific Reports will be evaluated by UPoN committes (with the help of experts in the specific fields, if needed) in order to assess the relevance of the content for the conference. Extended abstracts for Scientific Reports are expected to be from 4 to 6 pages with the provided templates.
- Final version of the extended abstracts. Authors whose abstracts will be accepted for presentation at the conference may prepare a final version following the suggestions from the UPoN committees. Once again, the abstracts/manuscripts relative to scientific reports will not be published. However, restricted access to the abstracts will be given during the conference in order to preserve the possibility of pursuing publication in the case of reports concerning preliminary results.
- For the submission of an extended abstract you need a Microsoft CMT account. We employ the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT) for managing the submission of the extended abstracts, the revision process and the collection of the final version of the accepted manuscripts. If you do not have a Microsoft CMT account, you need to create one. Please goto the Microsoft CMT User Login page to create an account.
- Once you perform the login into your Microsoft CMT account, search for the conference in the appropriate search box or go directly to: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/upon2026 .
- We will try to prepare a step by step guide that will be available from this page. In the meanwhile, you can receive dedicated assistance by e-mail writing to upon26@unime.it .
The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
