ATLAS

The open source Atlas explores both how manners and behaviours can be detected from texts, art, and archaeology and how they contribute to social and cultural identity.

The Atlas is conceived as an open repository, in which the addition of new references to the etiquette of a given culture from the ancient to the modern Middle East – from any period and any location – can contribute to the development of the concept of etiquette.

The Atlas works through a meta-data search engine that relies on tags, keywords, and text associated with an image or a text, which are provided by the administrator or user.
