On November 14th, 2024, Professor Domenico Nicolò from the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria participated at the Conference Living and Working in Calabria, part of the 13th edition of the Salone dello Studente, dedicated to the orientation of high school students. Professor Nicolò summarized the intermediate results of the PRIN PNRR, which demonstrate the serious negative conditioning exercised by organized crime on the profitability, efficiency, and propensity to invest in research and development, and innovation of companies. He also highlighted that fully exploiting the economic and social development opportunities in the regions of Southern Italy, where organized crime is most prevalent, requires sharing good practices and paths for the diffusion of legality.
