CONGRESS VENUES
The NMMC2026 will start on the afternoon of September 13th with the Opening Ceremony at the Rettorato venue, located in the city centre (Address: Piazza Pugliatti, 1).
The meeting will continue in the conference room “Vittorio Ricevuto” from the morning of September 14th until the end of the congress on September 16th morning.
The conference room “Vittorio Ricevuto” is located at the Papardo campus (north of the city), belonging to the University. (Address: Viale Ferdinando Stagno d’Alcontres, 31).
Shuttle buses will be provided from the city center to the conference venue.
Messina is served by three airports, all connected by public transport to the City Center:
It is the main hub for reaching Messina and is served by many international and national flights.

Daily direct shuttle buses connect the CTA airport to Messina Train Central Station (approx. 2h). Tickets can be purchased online or at the airport. Main operator: “SAIS autolinee”.

Getting Around Messina
Two strategic shuttle pick-up points from the city center to the “Papardo campus” will be available in the morning. The same applies from “Papardo campus” to the city center at the end of the afternoon meeting session.
This service is included in the registration fees.
Additionally, the city is served by a shuttle bus (Line 1) that runs through the entire city, from south to north.
The local bus network also connects neighbourhoods and nearby towns.
The “Papardo campus” can be easily reached by buses 24, 31, 32, and 39.
The bus stop is “Viale Stagno d’Alcontres, via Archimede”.
Taxis are widely available for faster or more direct transfer.
